John, Constable of Portugal

John of Portugal (Portuguese João Infante de Portugal; * January 13, 1400 in Santarém, † October 18, 1442 in Alcácer do Sal ) was a Duke of Aveiro from the house of Avis.

He was a younger son of John I of Portugal and his wife Philippa of Lancaster. 1424 he married Isabella of Braganza, the daughter of his half-brother Alfonso.
