John Cordts

John Cordts ( born July 23, 1935 in Huntsville ) is a former Canadian race car driver.

John Cordts had the mid- 1960s some success in sports car racing in his home country of Canada. Even in single-seater he could produce countable results. In 1966, he was fifth at the Player's 200 at Mosport on a McLaren M2B. Between 1968 and 1974 Cordts was a regular in the CanAm series. His best finish was second place at the race in Elkhart Lake in 1974.

Once Cordts was in Formula 1 at the start. In 1969 he drove a Brabham BT23B at the Canadian Grand Prix at Mosport. After a leak in the oil tank he had to retire from the race.
