John Dumbleton

John Dumbleton (John Dumbleton ) ( † ca 1349 ) was an English logician, natural philosopher and scholastics at Merton College, Oxford, where he held the rank of Fellow in 1338. He was one of four Oxford Calculators, along with Thomas Bradwardine, William Heytesbury and Richard Swineshead. Little is known about his life and career.

His masterpiece was Summa Philosophiae naturalis et logicae ( Compendium of logic and natural philosophy ).
