Fekner is a multimedia artist who has hundreds of environmental and conceptual graphics has designed consisting of stenciled words and symbols in New York, Germany, Sweden, Canada and England under the open sky. As a pioneer in the street art movement painted Fekner 1968, the words " Itchycoo Park" in large white letters on an empty building in Gorman Park, New York.

Fekner can look back on a wide range of works that he has created during his career, and that may seem inconsequential at first glance. He is an artist who puts everything that seems important to him in motion to convey a vision or message, and whose work is changing continuously, as soon as his vision grows. Fekners areas of interest range from general concepts of perception and conversion to specific ecological and sociological issues, such as urban decay, toxic chemicals, advertising, mass media, clergy to the history of Native Americans. Fekner developed his own philosophy with the central statement " reducing the value of an art object to did of a shared visual experience for the public community" ( " The value of a work of art to the limit of a common visual experience of the public" ). Meanwhile, there are also projects that were created specifically for the Internet. Among his works is Fekner paintings, sculptures, computer-generated video and audio works as well as various online projects. He is known for more than three hundred " ecological / conceptual " works, which consist of data, words, symbols, templates and outdoor plants.
