John Fryer (producer)

John Fryer (* 1958 in London, England ) is a British sound engineer and music producer.

Fryer began his career in 1979 as an assistant in the Blackwing Studios, with which he remained connected professionally for nine years. He produced 1981-1989 exclusively for bands of music labels Mute Records and 4AD. Over 25 years he worked as a producer in the fields of pop, alternative rock and spiritual mood music. The result was dozens of albums, singles and remixes, among others, Depeche Mode, the Cocteau Twins or Nine Inch Nails and the Finnish rock band HIM. In 2003 he founded the label Something To Listen To Records.

2011 played with his band Dark Drive Clinic for the first time an album in which he participated as a musician.
