John Hartson

John Hartson ( born April 5, 1975 in Swansea, Wales) is a Welsh former football player. By 2005, he completed 51 games in the Welsh national team, where he scored 14 goals.

Sports career

His football career began in 1992 at Luton Town. In the season 1994/95 he came for the equivalent of € 3,750,000 for Arsenal. In 1996, Hartson West Ham United and 1998/99 he played for FC Wimbledon (today: " Milton Keynes Dons "). After a spell at Coventry City Hartson landed at Glasgow Celtic in Glasgow. There he spent a very successful time before the summer of 2006 he moved to England to surprise West Bromwich Albion. He was especially popular with the Celtic fans, as he completely identified himself with the club. Especially through its unusually robust game, he fell again and again.

Another career

After John Hartson in February 2008 dissolved his contract with West Bromwich Albion, he was responsible for the 2008/09 season when Setanta Sports as a co-host under contract and moderated especially games of the Scottish Premier League.

In July 2009 it was announced that Hartson has cancer and is in a critical condition.
