John Herberger

Johann Herberger ( born November 9, 1919 in meadow valley; † 13 June 2002 Altbach ) was a German football player and football coach.

Biography

Prior to his career as a professional footballer Herberger worked as wage laborers in his hometown meadow valley. In 1936, he left his hometown club FV 1912 Wiesentalstrasse and initially played four years for the Phoenix Karlsruhe. In November 1939, Herberger moved to Hesse and denied there four league games in the former Gauliga as a guest player at Eintracht Frankfurt. Further stations of his career included the 1st FC Nuremberg, where he played with Max Morlock and later with Bayern Munich with international Jakob Streitle. Just like his uncle Sepp Herberger, he looked very much like he stormed prefer to half right, but also played in midfield.

Johann Herberger took in the late 1930s in courses for the German national football team. Coach Sepp Herberger once said about John: "If I set up, then it says the same, that's his nephew.
