John III, Count of Armagnac

Jean III. (C. 1359; † July 25, 1391 in Alessandria, Lombardy ), Count of Armagnac and Rodez, was the son of Count Jean II, known as le Bossu ( the Hunchback ), and Jeanne de Périgord.

He married 1378 Marguerite de Boulogne, Countess of Comminges ( 1363-1443 ). In 1390 he laid claim to the Kingdom of Majorca, but was defeated by the troops of King John I of Aragon in Navata.

After he and his army had long stemmed in Roussillon for a time, he had to go to Italy in 1391 to assist his brother Carlo Visconti, lord of Parma and the husband of his sister Béatrice against Gian Galeazzo Visconti, Duke of Milan.
