John J. Fitzgerald

John Joseph Fitzgerald ( born March 10, 1872 in Brooklyn, New York City; † May 13, 1952 ) was an American politician.

Fitzgerald attended until 1891, the Manhattan College in New York City and studied law at New York Law School. In 1893 he was admitted to the legal profession and practiced now in New York City.

As a member of the Democrats from 1900 to 1928 Fitzgerald was a delegate to the Democratic National Conventions. In addition, he was chosen for his party in Congress and represented there on 4 March 1899 until his resignation on December 31, 1917 New York State in the House of Representatives of the United States. Fitzgerald now started practicing back in his old job. In March 1932 he was appointed District Judge of King County, the election was held in November. Fitzgerald held that office until his retirement on 31 December 1942. He died in 1952 in Brooklyn and was buried at St. John 's Cemetery in Middle Village in Queens.
