John Kennedy (Scottish footballer)

John Kennedy ( born August 18, 1983 in Bellshill ) is a former Scottish footballer.

Kennedy suffered a career- threatening knee injury on his international debut against Romania and therefore could deny a competitive match, between March 2004 and April 2007. The Scottish Football Association SFA has compensated for this reason Celtic Glasgow with compensation. It was not until the end of 2006 Kennedy resumed training.

In the 2007 /08 season Kennedy was at first team regular season, but after another knee injury in November that occurred in a game of the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk, he again had the rest of the season missed. In July 2008, Kennedy went on loan to Norwich City in the English League second to give his career a fresh impetus. However, he finished in November 2009, his career due to a knee injury permanently.

He is the grandson of Jimmy Delaney, who played for Celtic and Manchester United.
