John Lilly (computer scientist)

John Lilly (born 1971 ) is currently Chief Executive Officer of the Mozilla Corporation, a subsidiary of the Mozilla Foundation. The object of the Corporation is to promote the development of open source Mozilla Internet applications, including the Internet browser Mozilla Firefox and the e -mail program Mozilla Thunderbird.

Lilly took over from as the Chief Executive Officer in January 2008, Mitchell Baker. Before Lilly Chief Operating Officer at Mozilla.

John Lilly currently sits on the board of the Open Source Application Foundation and the Participatory Culture Foundation. He has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in computer science from Stanford University. In addition, Lilly holds five U.S. patents.
