John Newland

John Newland ( born November 23, 1917 in Cincinnati, Ohio; † January 10, 2000 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American film director, actor, film producer and screenwriter.

Biography

Newland was in 104 episodes of television series as an actor before the camera, among other things, for Studio One, Robert Montgomery Presents, General Electric Theater, and Dr. Kildare. At the same time he became a director for television series including Thriller, Star Trek, Police Woman and computer kids.

The produced 1966-1967 television series The Man Who Never Was, with Robert Lansing in the lead role, was created by John Newland.

John Newland died of a stroke.
