John Spottiswoode

John Spottiswoode (* 1565, † November 26, 1639 ) was a Scottish Archbishop of St Andrews.

Life

Spottiswoode enjoyed his education at the University of Glasgow and was a leader of the Presbyterians. Later, he supported the Scottish king James VI. , Who appointed him to his coronation as James I of England, Archbishop of Glasgow.
