Johnny Bent

John Peale "Johnny" Bent (* August 5, 1908 in Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania, † June 5, 2004 in Lake Forest, Illinois ) was an American professional ice hockey player.

Career

Johnny Bent first attended the Harrisburg Academy and the Kent Schol before he studied from 1926 to 1930 at Yale University. For the Yale University, he played three years of hockey and baseball for a year. From 1930 to 1932, he played amateur hockey before he finished his career. During the Second World War, he served for 15 months as a lieutenant and was awarded both the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

Internationally

For the U.S., Bent took part in the 1932 Olympics in part in Lake Placid, where he won the silver medal with his team. He scored three goals in six games and a template.
