Johnny Hiland

Johnny Hiland (* 1975 in Woodland, Maine ) is an American musician. Largely because of his virtuoso guitar playing Hiland quickly became known. Overall, he mastered 22 instruments. In the style of music itself Hiland moved between blues and country music.

Hiland grew up in the small town of Baileyville, Maine. He was born with the eye disease nystagmus, with which he is almost blind and affected him in his normal physical development. At the age of 2 years he started to play guitar at age seven, he had already played in a first television appearance. His career began when Johnny won awards in a talent show in New York; since he was 10 years old. He received a strong influence from one initiated by his father concert with Ricky Skaggs. Then Johnny fingerpicking bluegrass started on his Fender Telecaster to play. He developed as a teenager his own style, a mix of rock, blues and swing, in which he largely applied the technique of Chicken Picking and further developed.

After high school graduation Johnny Hiland first began to study history to become a teacher before he moved in 1996 to Nashville, the center of country music. He summed up very fast walk. Johnny played in a row with artists such as Toby Keith, Randy Travis, and Lynn Anderson. Since 2004 he has his own band "Johnny Hiland Band" and traveled with it around the world. His interest in becoming a teacher, he was able to realize by giving musicians guitar lessons.

He also played on stage with artists such as Sammy Hagar, Ted Nugent, George Clinton and P-Funk, Les Paul, Steve Vai, Joe Bonamassa and many others. An adverse employment Hilands is to illustrate children's books.

In 2011 he presented his third album under his own name All Fired Up.
