Johnny Moore (basketball)

John Brian Moore ( born March 3, 1958 in Altoona, Pennsylvania ) is a former American professional basketball player.

The point guard played almost his entire career on the San Antonio Spurs in the North American professional basketball league NBA, with the exception of one game for the New Jersey Nets. Originally, he was, however, drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the NBA Draft in 1979 at 21 place after he had played for the University of Texas at Austin College Basketball.

He had a relatively early end his professional career, since he fell ill coccidioidomycosis to the fungal infection. After retiring from active competition, was Moore's jersey number (00 ) retired by the Spurs, ie this number is no longer assigned to other players.
