Johnny Peirson
John Frederick "Johnny" Peirson ( born July 21, 1925 in Winnipeg, Manitoba ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player ( Right Wing ), who played from 1947 to 1958 for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League.
Career
Peirson made as a young player in the environment of the Bruins any great hopes for a career in the NHL. However, a betting scandal in the 1947/48 season enabled him to jump to the NHL, where he earned with the Boston Bruins first annual $ 4,500. He took the chance and evolved into a solid attacker, who scored four times on 20 goals. This earned him two nominations for the NHL All-Star Game. After the end of the season 1953/54, he finished his career, but after a year he returned for another three seasons in the NHL.
