Johnny Scott (jazz musician)

Johnny Scott (actually John Kerningham Sidney Scott, * ca 1938 in Buffalo, † April 20, 2010 in Montreal ) was an American singer and tenor saxophonist who worked most of his life in Canada.

Johnny Scott began to appear 15 years as a musician. During his military service in Europe he played in a band for Truppenunterhatung. After his discharge from the army in the early 1960s, he moved to Montreal, where he has since worked in the field of pop music, R & B, blues and jazz. In 1986, with pianist Geoffrey Lapp his debut album From Now On, which he published on his own label JazzCo. Scott has performed regularly in Canada and the United States, he also had a few film and television appearances.
