Johnny Ventura

Johnny Ventura ( Juan de Dios Ventura Soriano, born March 8, 1940 in Santo Domingo ) is a Dominican singer, who is best known as Merenguemusiker.

Ventura had his first radio performances at the age of sixteen. In addition, Ventura is also politically active. He was a member of the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano 1962 and is one of its vice-presidents. He is also a Member of Parliament and mayor of Santo Domingo.
