Jollof rice

Benachin or Jollof rice (English Jollof Rice) is a rice dish that is very common in West Africa Gambia and Senegal, as well as under its English name in Ghana.

Name

Bena -chin in the Wolof language literally means one-pot. Another name for Benachin is Jollof Rice; Jollof (another spelling for Wolof ) suggests that it is a national dish of the Wolof, the move to Gambia and Senegal.
