Jomo Cosmos F.C.

Jomo Cosmos is a South African football club based in Johannesburg. The club is owned by the former South African soccer player Jomo Sono.

The club was founded as Highlands Park and renamed in 1982 after returning from the Sonos American NASL reference to his former club New York Cosmos Jomo Cosmos.

In 2008 Jomo Cosmos rose for the first time since 1993, from the first South African league off, but managed to direct resurgence. The following year, the club fell again after a renewed descent back in the second highest league.
