Jon Klein (musician)

Jon Klein ( born May 9, 1960 in Bristol) is an English guitarist, he was co-founder of the legendary London club " Batcave ".

Klein played guitar for The Europeans and the goth - punk band Specimen, before 1987 he was the new guitarist of Siouxsie and the Banshees. Klein was one of eight years for band and played three albums a what no other Banshees guitarist managed. In 1995, he rose after disagreements left the band, worked with Sinéad O'Connor and produced a few years later the debut album by the Scottish gothic rock band Nervosa. In 2000, Jon founded with bassist Matt Seligman ( The Soft Boys) and drummer Chris Bell, the band Snail, which has had some successes in the Asian region.

In 2006 there was a new edition of the Specimen by Jon Klein and the two former band members Kimba (bass) and Tim Huthert (drums), along with Stephen X ( guitar) and T.bias (vocals ) as new members. This collaboration led to the first full-fledged album of the band entitled Electric Ballroom, which was published in Metropolis Records in the summer of 2007.

On the album, the former Specimen original members Olli Wisdom and Jonny Slut are also heard.
