Jon Thompson

Jon Thompson ( b. 1936 ) is a British artist and curator. He was involved in the development of the so-called YBA. In 1988 he was involved in the curation of the exhibition Freeze.

Thompson was the decisive factor for a change in art college in England. He opened the Departmente from Goldsmiths College in London, and enabled students to move freely, etc. between the various specializations, such as painting, sculpture, photography. Until 2006, he taught as a professor at Middlesex University.
