Life and career

To 2008: career and first experiences as a professional

Jonathan Dasnieres de Veigy began at the age of four years, to play tennis. As a junior he was able to celebrate any major successes, and also in the professional sector, it took two years for a satellite tournament for the first time until he could collect points for the tennis world rankings in April 2006. A year later he won his first Futures title in the course of 2007 was followed by two more titles in this category. 2008 DASNIERES de Veigy could then take on the ATP Challenger Tour foot and reached there, including two quarter-finals. In addition, he still won this year a further Futures titles and thus rose into the top 400 in the world rankings.

2009-2010: Challenger Finals and ATP debut

In August 2009, reached Jonathan Dasnieres de Veigy in Saransk and Samarkand in two consecutive Challenger tournaments each the final, but went there to Iñigo Cervantes Huegun and Dustin Brown each as losers from the square.

After he had failed in the previous year at several ATP tournaments in qualifying, DASNIERES de Veigy abolished in July 2010 in Båstad first to transfer in an ATP main draw. He, however, was a chance against his compatriot Stephane Robert. In the world rankings, he reached this year with 203 rank his best finish so far, but at the end he fell back out of the top 300.

2011-2012: Challenger Finals and ATP debut

In July 2011, qualified Jonathan Dasnieres de Veigy like last year for the ATP tournament in Båstad. Then against the started a wild card Andreas Vinciguerra he was able to record his first ATP match win before he retired against Potito Starace. A few weeks later he reached the Challenger tournament in Tampere the semi-finals and won his first title in this category on the side of David Guez. At the U.S. Open he could for the first time in August 2011 qualify for a Grand Slam tournament, but then retired in the first round against Tommy Haas of. In the following ATP tournament in Metz he had a further qualification, but again there was a first round defeat against Philipp Kohlschreiber.

In April 2012, almost three years reached DASNIERES de Veigy in Naples for the first time the singles final of a Challenger tournament, but it lost to Andrei Kuznetsov. Just a week later he was in Ostrava in another Challenger final, and by a two- set victory over local favorite January Hájek he won his first title there. Thus, he succeeded in entering the top 200 in the world rankings, he also was the French Tennis Federation rewarded with a wildcard for the French Open.
