Jonathan Kellerman

Jonathan Kellerman ( born August 9, 1949 in New York, NY) is an American child psychologist and novelist.

Life and work

Jonathan Kellerman grew up in Los Angeles. He studied psychology at the University of Los Angeles ( UCLA) and graduated with honors as a BA from. During his studies he worked as a journalist and illustrator and was rewarded with a Samuel Goldwyn Creative Writing Award. He received his doctorate in 1974 as a PhD in psychology at the University of Southern California. He now teaches occasionally at the School of Medicine in the area of ​​pediatrics. His internship he made at Children's Hospital / USC School of Medicine, where he first worked as a child psychologist after graduation. He later became founding director of the Psychosocial Program, Division of Hematology - Oncology.
