Jonathan Grant " Jonny " Evans ( born January 3, 1988 in Belfast ) is a Northern Irish footballer who plays in the position of central defender and currently stands at Manchester United.

Career

In the club

Evans started his career at FC Green Iceland, where he was spotted by scouts from Manchester United. In Manchester Evans went through all the youth teams and came in various smaller tournaments during the summer break in 2006 for use. Manchester finally decided to borrow Evans alongside Darron Gibson, Danny Simpson and Fraizer Campbell for a year at Royal Antwerp.

Then followed a year at Sunderland, where he was elected "Young Player of the Year", and then returned to the 2007 summer break to Manchester. On 26 September 2007 Evans made ​​his debut for Manchester United against Coventry City in the FA Cup (final result: 2-0).
