Jonny Rödlund

Jonny Rödlund (* December 22, 1971 ) is a former Swedish football player at the position of midfielder. Most recently, he was coach of the Swedish third division Syrianska IF Kerburan.

Career

Association

After working at Skiljebo SK and Västerås SK, Rödlund still left in youth his home and joined the youth team in 1987 RSC Anderlecht and a year later the youth team of Manchester United.

In 1989 he returned to Sweden and stood until 1993 when IFK Norrköping under contract. With them he won the Swedish championship in 1989 and 1991, the Swedish Cup.

Subsequent stations of Rödlund were: BK Hacken, Västerås SK, Degerfors IF, SC Braga and again Västerås SK. For Västerås SK he played a total of 73 times, scoring twelve hits.

In 1999 Rödlund to Germany, for second division FC Energie Cottbus. In the 17 back round games of the season 1999/2000 he came 14 times for use and scoring three goals. At the end of the season he rose with Cottbus in the Bundesliga 1. In the first Cottbus Bundesliga season Rödlund was substituted by coach Eduard Geyer only seven times. He held with the team the class and then moved to China for Beijing Guoan.

2002 Rödlund returned to Sweden and played three years in the Swedish second division Enköpings SK.

In 2007 he finished in his home when Skiljebo SK his active career.

National

Rödlund was a member of the Swedish Olympic team in 1992. Three goals in the tournament, he was the best Swedish scorer.

Rödlund debuted on 14 February 1990 in the Swedish national team, than that of the national team of the United Arab Emirates was defeated 1-2. Two years later he came in the 0-1 defeat against the Australian national selection to a second international match.

Coach stations

2008 Rödlund took over as coach in the Swedish fourth division Syrianska IF Kerburan, which he led as a master of Division 2 Norra Svealand to the third tier. However, he announced his retirement after the season.
