Jordanowo, Lubusz Voivodeship

Jordanowo ( German Bank ) is a part of the community Świebodzin in Poland. It is located nine kilometers north of the town on the European road 65 and belongs to the powiat Świebodziński, Lubusz Province on.

Near Jordanowo is named after the district of motorway junctions between the A2 motorway is (Frankfurt (Oder) / Świecko - Warsaw - Kukuryki ( Polish- Belarusian border) ) and the expressway S3 ( Świnoujście - Lubawka ( Polish- Czech border ) ).

History

The village of Jordan in the Neumark was located one kilometer south of the monastery paradise. From 1818 to 1945 Jordan was a member of the county Züllichau - Schwiebus. 1935-1937 entertained the Confessing Church here is an illegal seminary under the direction of Hans Joachim Iwand. 1939, the place had 630 inhabitants. As the place in 1945 came under Polish administration, its name was changed in Jordanowo.
