Jorge Martins

Jorge Manuel Martins da Silva ( born August 12, 1954 in Alhos Vedros ) is a former Portuguese football goalkeeper.

Career

Martin began his career at FC Barreirense which he remained faithful until 1983. From 1983-1984 he was at Vitória Setúbal under contract. This period also saw the convening fell to the European Football Championship 1984 in France in the squad of the Portuguese. Martins were no use, as for Portugal where he was called up in all games. From 1984-1985 he was under contract at Benfica, where he was Portuguese Cup winners. In the next season he was with Belenenses Lisbon under contract, where he was also called up for a major event. During his time in Lisbon was the convening of the Portuguese in the squad for the FIFA World Cup 1986 in Mexico. He came back not used. Then the goalkeeper played one more season at SC Farense and finished it his career.
