José-Alex Ikeng

José -Alex Ikeng ( born January 30, 1988 in Bafia, Cameroon ) is a German - Cameroonian footballer.

Career

Since 2003 Ikeng played in the youth of the VfB Stuttgart. In 2004 Ikeng was with the B- youth VfB German masters. In the second half of the season 2005/ 06 Ikeng completed his first appearances in the Regionalliga Süd for the second team of VfB. In 2006 it the Fritz Walter medal was also awarded for U-18 players in bronze. For the season 2006/ 07 he was a regular player of VfB II, after he had already completed the pre-season with the first team.

In August 2006, Ikeng tore the anterior cruciate ligament on the third Round of the Regionalliga Süd in use for the second team of VfB against FK Pirmasens in the right knee. After an unavoidable operation, he rose in March 2007 back into training and suffered the same month again in his right knee cruciate ligaments. After he was operated on again, the healing process of the scar delayed.

It was only in May 2008 Ikeng gave a total of 20 months injury lay his comeback for the second team of VfB Stuttgart. His professional debut came 26 July 2008 on the opening day of the 2008/09 season for VfB II in the 3rd professional league against Kickers Offenbach.

In December 2008 Ikengs contract was terminated at VfB disciplinary reasons with immediate effect. Then Ikeng signed a valid from January 2009 for a period of six months, License player contract at Werder Bremen.

End of July 2009, he moved again to a torn ACL. In April 2010 he returned to the second team of Bremen, but because of recurring knee problems, he remained on the season also in rehabilitation.

In July 2010, he created negative headlines because he was suspected of beating a Turkish citizen with a knuckle-duster and a stick for a disco visit. After that, the club no longer took him for the time being in the first team squad.

On 18 May 2011, the SV Werder Bremen announced the separation of Ikeng. On 24 May 2011, FC Ingolstadt 04 reported Ikengs obligation. He signed a two-year contract until June 2013. His second league debut was on August 5, 2011 (5th Round ) in the 1:4 defeat of the FCI in the away match against Fortuna Dusseldorf with coming off the bench in the 63rd minute for Andreas Buchner. In the summer of 2013, his contract was not renewed in Ingolstadt; since he is without a club.
