José Carlos Somoza

José Carlos Somoza ( born November 13, 1959 in Havana ) is a Spanish writer.

Somoza is a professional psychiatrist. He lived in Spain since 1960. For his novel Clara ( Clara y la penumbra ) (ISBN 3-548-60405-6 ) he received the 2001 literary prize Premio Fernando Lara, a year later the prestigious Premio Hammett. In Sweden, it was founded in 2004 for the novel Idéernas Grotta ( Original: La caverna de las ideas, dt The mystery of the philosopher ) awarded the Flintyxan.

Published in Germany also his detective novel The Riddle of the philosopher (La caverna de las ideas ) (ISBN 3-546-00221-0 ), are " The ivory casket ", " The Thirteenth lady " and the scientific thriller The Einstein Project.
