José de Jesús Pimiento Rodriguez ( born February 18, 1919 in Zapatoca ) is Roman katholioscher retired Archbishop of Manizales.

Life

José de Jesús Rodriguez Pimiento received on 14 December 1941, the ordination.

Pius XII. appointed him on 14 June 1955 Auxiliary Bishop of Pasto and Titular Bishop of Apollonis. The Archbishop of Bogotá Crisanto Luque Sánchez Cardinal gave him on 28 August of the same year the episcopal ordination. He participated in four of the Second Vatican Council. John XXIII. appointed him on December 30, 1959 Bishop of Monteria.

Paul VI. appointed him on 29 February 1964 Bishop of Garzón - Neiva. Paul VI. appointed him on 22 May 1975 Archbishop of Manizales. On 15 October 1996, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
