José Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos

José Maria Botelho de Vasconcelos ( born March 24, 1950 in Malanje ) is an Angolan politician. He is currently the Minister of Petroleum of his country.

Vasconcelos Minister of Petroleum was already in the years from 1999 to 2002. Thereafter, he was Minister of Energy and Water. After the parliamentary elections in September 2008, he was reappointed Minister of Petroleum in the Angolan newly elected government. In February 2010, after a cabinet reshuffle, Vasconcelos was confirmed in his post.

For the year 2009, he was designated as president of OPEC.
