Joseba Garmendia

Joseba Garmendia Elorriaga (born 4 October 1985 in Basauri, Vizcaya Province ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for FC Girona in the Spanish Segunda División.

Playing career

The young Basque Joseba Garmendia defender comes as numerous players from Athletic Bilbao from their own offspring. So it went for him first to the third division side CD Baskonia, a training club of Athletic. After he was able to convince there, he returned to a playing time back to Bilbao to play for the second team in Segunda División B and to be slowly introduced to professional football.

In summer 2006, finally signed a professional contract with Athletic Garmendia. About the status of the replacement player he did not come out into the following three seasons and therefore moved in the summer of 2009 relegated CD Numancia. There he played himself straight into the starting lineup and finished in two seasons 45 games.

In the summer of 2011, he was transferred to league rivals FC Girona. However, he wrote only a one year contract.
