Josef Fares

Josef Fares ( born September 19, 1977 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese- Swedish film director and screenwriter, Assyrian / Aramaic origin. His brother is actor Fares Fares. His father John Fares is also active as an actor.

Josef Fares was the age of ten with his family, who settled in Örebro, Sweden. Fares attended the gymnasium and studied at the Swedish theater and film school Dramatiska Institutet thereafter.

Both in his thesis, the short film då Kom, and his two successful comedies Jalla! Jalla! Kops and he focuses on the complicated relationship of young men to traditional gender role by "soft men " in a traditionally male "hard" environment provides.
