Josef Stering

Josef " Sepp " Stering (born 6 March 1949 in Pichling at Koeflach ) is a former Austrian national football team.

Career

Josef Stering began his career in his home at ASK Voitsberg. In 1968 he moved to Grazer AK, for which he was able to achieve five goals in his first season as a professional. In the summer of 1972 he moved to the emerging SK VÖEST to Linz. In the 1973/74 season he was with the work of Austrian football club champion. Under the 1975/76 season Stering changes to the SSW Innsbruck, with the gaming community it was 1976/77 champions again.

Back in 1969, celebrated its debut at the Austrian national team with a 3-1 away win over Malta, the Western Styria. A further 25 missions in the national team followed, including the qualifiers for the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. However, to participate in the World Cup could not Stering because of a serious knee injury.

From 1978 to 1980 he worked for TSV 1860 Munich, with whom he celebrated the rise in the Bundesliga in his first season and was able to secure the league the following season. In 1980 he moved back to Grazer AK, with which he could celebrate the first Cup victory in 1981 of the association. Until 1986 he remained in his parent club in Graz, where he also finished his pro career. In total he played 296 league matches for the Grazer AK, scoring 48 goals.
