Josefina Aldecoa

Josefina Rodríguez de Aldecoa ( born March 8, 1926 in La Robla, León province, † 16 March, 2011 Mazcuerras, Cantabria ) was a Spanish writer.

Life

Rodríguez moved in 1944 from her hometown of La Robla to Madrid, where she received her doctorate in philosophy and literature. In 1952 she married Ignacio Aldecoa. In 1959 she founded in Madrid the " Colegio Estilo ," inspired by the educational ideas of Krausismo and published in 1961 a collection of short stories " Nowhere ". From that moment on she left the Schriftstellertum for 20 years, and took it with novels such as " The Children of War" (1983 ), "The vine " (1984), "Because we were young " (1986) or "The Garden " (1988 ) again. In 1990 she started a trilogy of autobiographical content with the novel " Story of a teacher " (1990), "Women in Black " (1994) and "The Power of Destiny" (1997). In 1998 she wrote the essay " Confessions of a grandmother " in which they treated the relationship and lived experiences with their grandchildren. Two years later she published "fever" an anthology of stories that she had written between 1950 and 1990, and 2002, " The Riddle ", a novel about love.
