Josefina Pla

Josefina Pla ( * 1903 Lobos, Canary Islands, † 1999 in Asunción, Paraguay) was a writer and potter from Paraguay.

She was born in 1903 in Lobos Lighthouse (Faro de Martiño ) as the daughter of Leopoldo Plá and Rafaela Guerra Galvani; her exact birth date is unknown, her best-known biographer Raúl Amaral is November 9 at. In 1926 she arrived in Paraguay and settled in Villa Aurelia, later she moved to in capital Asunción.

She wrote poetry, stories and essays, and had a significant influence on the intellectual life in Paraguay.
