Joseph Clement Willging
Joseph Clement Willging ( born September 6, 1884 in Dubuque, Iowa, USA, † March 3, 1959 ) was the first Bishop of Pueblo.
Life
Joseph Clement Willging received on 20 June 1908, the sacrament of Holy Orders for the Archdiocese of Dubuque.
On December 6, 1941, he was named by Pope Pius XII. the first bishop of Pueblo. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Giovanni Cicognani Amleto, donated to him on 24 February 1942, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the bishop of Davenport, Henry Patrick Rohlman, and the Bishop of Helena, Joseph Michael Gilmore.
