Joseph-Désiré Job

Joseph- Désiré Job ( born December 1, 1977 in Vénissieux, Arrondissement Lyon, France) is a Cameroonian football player. The striker took part in two World Cup finals and played throughout his career at professional clubs in France, England, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Career

Childhood and Youth, 1977-1997

Job is the cousin of the two German professional football player Marvin Matip and Joel Matip. He was born as the youngest of five brothers on December 1, 1977 in Vénissieux, a suburb of Lyon, the son of a Cameroonian. He and his family lived in a small apartment in a poorer part of town. At the age of five years job was excited about the football game and had to be the goal of a professional footballer. He played the local club AS Minguettes Vénissieux and was discovered at the age of about ten years of Scouts of Olympique Lyon. First professional years in France, 1997-2000
