Joseph Devellerez Thaung Shwe

Joseph Thaung Shwe Devellerez ( born October 10, 1935 in Twante ) is retired Bishop of Pyay.

Life

Joseph Thaung Shwe Devellerez received on 10 January 1961, the ordination. Pope Paul VI. appointed him on October 2, 1975 Bishop of Prome.

The Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in China and Bangladesh, Edward Idris Cassidy, consecrated him on 2 February of next year to the bishop; Co-consecrators were the Alphonse U Than Aung, Auxiliary Bishop in Mandalay, and Abraham Than, Bishop of Kengtung.
