Joseph Hippolyte Guibert, OMI ( born December 13, 1802 in Aix -en- Provence, † July 8, 1886 in Paris) was a French religious clergyman, Cardinal and Archbishop of Paris.

Life

Joseph Hippolyte Guibert was the son of the farmer Pierre Guibert. At the age of 17 he entered in 1819 the seminary of Aix, which was led at that time by the Sulpizianern. At the beginning of 1823 he joined the community of the Missionaries of Provence and on December 29, 1823, he made ​​his solemn vows.
