Joseph McCormick (ice hockey)

Joseph Wallace "Joe" McCormick ( born August 12, 1895 in Buckingham, Quebec, Canada, † January 22, 1934 Toronto ) was an American- Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played on the position of the striker.

Because of his military service for the U.S. Army in World War McCormick received U.S. citizenship and was thus eligible to play for the USA.

At the Summer Olympics in Antwerp in 1920, he won the U.S. national team, which was composed of players from St. Paul AC, Pittsburgh and Boston AA AA, the silver medal in the Olympic ice hockey tournament. His older brother Lawrence was also a member of the Olympic team.
