Josephine Chaplin

Josephine Hannah Chaplin ( born March 28, 1949 in Santa Monica, California) is an American actress.

Life

Josephine Chaplin was born as the second daughter of the fourth marriage of the actor Charles Chaplin Oona O'Neill. Josephine Chaplin has seven other siblings; Geraldine Chaplin, Michael Chaplin, Victoria Chaplin, Eugene Chaplin, Jane Chaplin, Annette Chaplin, Christopher Chaplin. From her father's previous marriages, the half siblings Norman Chaplin, Charles Chaplin Jr. and Sydney Chaplin come.

Even as a small child stood Josephine Chaplin for her father in the movie spotlight in front of the camera. Later lived and worked mainly in France. In 1972, she starred in the Italian-French co-production Pasolini's foolhardy stories with Hugh Griffith and Laura Betti. In 1974, she was with Klaus Kinski and Andreas Mannkopff for a movie about Jack the Ripper in front of the camera.

From 1977 until his death in 1983 Josephine Chaplin was married to French actor and director Maurice Ronet. Ronet and Chaplin came together in 1972 in the film Fatal headlines and 1981 they played under his direction in the Edgar Allan Poe adaptation Ligeia. From the marriage of the 1980-born son Julien emerged.
