Josip Å tolcer-Slavenski
Josip Štolcer - Slavenski, including: Josip Slavenski ( born May 11, 1896 in Čakovec, † November 30, 1955 in Belgrade ) was a Yugoslavian composer, born in Međimurje in what was then Croatia in the Habsburg monarchy ( Habsburg Monarchy).
Štolcer - Slavenski was a student of Zoltán Kodály in Budapest and Vítězslav Novák in Prague. From 1924 he taught composition in Belgrade.
He composed three symphonies, a symphonic poem, a violin concerto, dances from the Balkans for string orchestra, chamber music, cantatas, choral works, songs and incidental music.
