Jostein Hasselgård

Jostein Hasselgård ( born March 24, 1979 in Fredrikstad ) is a Norwegian pop singer.

The age of six he began playing the piano and studied as a young man at the Norwegian Academy of Music. In between, he was briefly employed as a teacher in a kindergarten. As a relatively unknown singer, he won the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix pre-selection in 2003 and was therefore entitled to compete in Riga at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2003. His ballad I'm Not Afraid To Move On won the fourth place. With his band Hasselgård he published in 2006 the album A Few Words. Since 2010, he sings in the tenor voice in the Norwegian a cappella group Pust.
