Jørn Skaarup

Jørn Skaarup ( born 1925 ) is a former Danish badminton player.

Sporting career

Skaarup was eleven times Danish champion in the individual disciplines in the period after the Second World War. The unofficial world championships, the All England, he won three times. In 1948 he won in singles and mixed with Kirsten Thor Dahl. In 1950 he won the double with Preben Dabelsteen. In the final of the first edition of the Thomas Cup, he lost in 1949 with the Danish team against Malaysia. At the German Open in 1956 he won the double with Jørgen Hansen Hammergaard.
