Juan Castellar y de Borja

Juan Castellar y de Borja (* 1441 in Valencia, † January 1, 1505 ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

Life

The nephew of Pope Alexander VI. was elevated to cardinal in pectore on August 23, 1493 Archbishop of Trani and on 31 May 1503. After the Pope had his name published on 2 June the same year, he made him a cardinal June 12 priests of the titular church of Santa Maria in Trastevere. On August 9, 1503, he left the Archdiocese of Trani and began the Archdiocese of Monreale.
