Juan de Dios Hernández-Ruiz

Juan de Dios Hernández Ruiz SJ ( born November 14, 1948 in Holguín ) is a Cuban priest and auxiliary bishop in San Cristobal de la Habana.

Life

Juan de Dios Hernández Ruiz joined the Congregation of the Jesuits, put the profession in 1974 and received on 26 December 1976, the ordination. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 3 December 2005 as Auxiliary Bishop of San Cristobal de la Habana and Titular Bishop of Cures Sabinorum.

He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of San Cristobal de la Habana, Jaime Lucas Cardinal Ortega y Alamino, on January 14 of next year; Co-consecrators were Emilio Aranguren Echeverria, Bishop of Holguín, and Héctor Luis Lucas Peña Gómez, Bishop Emeritus of Holguín.
