Juan Francisco Aragone

Juan Francisco Aragone ( born May 24, 1883 in Carmelo, Uruguay, † May 7, 1953 in Montevideo) was an Uruguayan, Roman Catholic bishop.

He received his priestly ordination on 28 October 1908. On 3 July 1919 he was appointed successor to Mariano Soler on the vacant for over ten years position as Archbishop of Montevideo and received on 9 November of the same year the bishop consecration by Alberto Vassallo di Torregrossa. He held that post until 20 November 1940 when he took over the position of Titular Archbishop of Melitene, which he held until his death.
